Hyunjung Lee
BIO
Hyunjung Lee is Textile Artist and Fashion designer. The holistic quality natural materials hold, colour extracted from plants, traditional textile techniques are Hyunjung's inspirations. In the Seneca fashion show 2012, Hyunjung taught herself how to dye fabrics and solely dyed all garments and was awarded G & S textile award. She pioneered in production outside of her department, worked with furniture, industrial professors to produce printing blocks using CNC machinery and 3d printers. Hyunjung Lee was awarded artist-in-residence at Harbourfront Centre in 2020. Hyunjung continues to research the evolution of the block-printing process by digitizing print and textural experiments' adaptability.
