CAPSTONE PROJECT
FLOAT IN THE AIR
Float in the air consists of "floating", "dreamy" and "ethereal" elements, and was inspired by observing the characteristics of various jellyfish. Designed the dress using materials such as organza and silk as well as using embroidery, polychromatic screen print, and shirring to shape the overall jellyfish-inspired dress. Organza can show her floating, dreamy theme very well, and organza has light transmittance and is very lightweight to match the characteristics of jellyfish. The embroidered part of the corset was inspired by the pattern on the jellyfish, and the traditional polychromatic screen print was used to print the pattern on the silk to form the transparency, and then the embroidery was used to deepen the details. Embroidery embellishment was used to deepen the details. However, the hemline uses fabric piling, such as the jellyfish tentacles made by shirring, and some ruffles to match the lining part of the skirt.
