UNIT

"Unit" is a question of whether our experience of the world is real or not. As we become increasingly reliant on digital technology, the concept of 'reality' becomes more important in today's world. Artist Jean Jiaying Xu explores this concept through two series of works: "World" and "Neuron". In the 'World' series, Jean uses the contrasting materials of glass and mobile phones to highlight the differences between the physical and digital worlds we inhabit. Meanwhile, the 'Neurons' series examines the importance of human connection and collaboration in a rapidly evolving world. Jean's work raises crucial questions about the reality of our experience and how technology is changing the way we perceive and interact with the world around us. As we rely more on technology in various aspects of our lives, it's crucial to reflect on what's genuinely authentic and valuable in our experiences.
