CAPSTONE PROJECT
AVENUES OF FULFILLMENT
"Avenues of Fulfillment" delves into Andrea Bossi’s year-long exploration of fulfilment, captured in three 20" x 26" textile panels. These pieces, with themes of family, love, and self-actualization, echoing his Italian roots through hues from Lishkara Fabrics.
"Love" highlights gratitude, blending halftone family scenes against a Madeira backdrop. "Self-Actualization" documents Bossi’s journey and has different images of him growing up. Juxtaposing these narratives, "The Struggle" questions picture perfect fulfillment, advocating for gratitude and purpose.
Using Japanese Arashi Shibori and discharge techniques with screen-printed motifs, these panels combine technical learning and introspective insights, inviting viewers into Bossi’s perspective on fulfillment.
