NICOLETTE KEANEY
I am fascinated by the transformative possibilities of translucent porcelain. Guided by the demanding processes of slip casting and mould making, I aim to craft pieces that embody simplicity, elegance, and functionality. I am drawn to this material through its unique ability to capture and diffuse light, giving each piece a captivating luminosity. Through careful handling and refinement, I strive to create surfaces that are smooth and tactile, inviting the viewer to engage with the subtle nuances of texture and form. Each piece is intended to enhance everyday life, infusing the mundane with moments of warmth. I find joy in the process of creating, whether I am working with plaster or clay, each step is essential to the Integrity of the piece. Through my ceramics, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and reverence for the simple pleasures that surround us.
