CAPSTONE PROJECT
A VESSEL FOR MORE
I am crafting softened, abstracted reflections on lived feelings and memories to make decorative vessels - mainly special-occasion functional wares. Using hand building methods like pinching, coiling, and slab building, I practice slow making as a reprieve and attestation to experience. Themes of romanticism through nature and the self are communicated with form and surface through expressions of flora, poetry, stars, love and life. The pieces explored in this semester are a bridge between my own understanding and placed-value, and my notation and translation on these subjects.
