BIO
I am an optimistic and curious textile designer who likes to find inspiration from life. Whether it's the light and shadow of the sun shining through the curtains, the moss growing on the rocks, or the unassuming flowers by the side of the road, they will all make me think of new creative directions.
I especially like to study the variations of materials, and also focus on the emotional connection between the work and people. I often combine soft and hard materials, such as wool and crystals, to make the works both gentle and powerful.
Color is very important to me. I am sensitive to colour and like to use low saturated pinks, blues and purples to create a quiet but warm feeling. My work is my response to the world gentle, versatile and full of possibilities.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
MIRAGE
Mirage is engaging in an exploration of texture, color, and material diversity, calling attention to the ways in which natural forms interact with human craft. Inspired by organic forms such as coral and moss, the final piece is a tapestry, measuring 1.82 meters high by 0.91 meters wide. The work incorporates the formation of coral, the growth of moss, and the organic processes that evolve over time. I explore the interplay between soft, flowing textiles and hard crystalline structures, capturing the beauty of natural forms.
