Shahed Abu Aziz
BIO
I'm Shahed, an Industrial Designer who believes great design is empathy made physical. I work in the space between beauty, function, and responsibility, translating real human needs into solutions that earn their place in the world. I'm drawn to hard problems, overlooked people, and the spaces where design can quietly change something real while making it look good.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
TRACE
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is one of the most devastating civilian emergencies happening in the world right now, one that has been widely recognized as genocide. Rescuers face impossible choices: leave someone behind, or attempt to move them in ways that risk worsening injuries.
As an industrial designer, I’ve always believed that design should serve people, especially those who are suffering and don’t have a voice on the world stage.
TRACE is a solo rescue device built for Gaza's reality: limited medical access, active danger, and the urgent need to move injured civilians safely. TRACE provides a durable, human-centred solution that protects both rescuer and survivor. Designed around ergonomics, dignity, and the need to improve emergency response in crisis environments.
One rescuer. One act of humanity.
