Rebecca has a fascination for materials and taking an analytical approach to design. She enjoys the hands-on process, using iterative physical model making to create every day objects that are resolved and unique.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
VAULT STOOL
The Vault Stool is a lightweight, woven carbon fiber stool. Using kagome, a Japanese triaxial weaving technique, the unique form of the Stool is the intersection of traditional techniques and modern materials. The Stool’s structure is reinforced by the curved edges which are reminiscent of vaulted arches found in architecture.
