Austin Felhaber is a flame worker exploring jewellery and wearable art. Inspired by various subcultures such as hip hop, punk aesthetic, and street culture. With regards to good ethics and sustainability, he is dedicated to craftsmanship, technique, and making high quality products that carry a unique experience. Project Junxion exists as a platform and brand for these products.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
JUNXION
Project Junxion began with a glass chain, and the idea that a chain is a strong object made of a strong material. It is typically seen as a symbol of strength. When made of glass, the chain must be handled in a completely different way. Much like relationships we form with ourselves, and other people. They appear strong and unbreakable. But in some instances, it must be handled with care. If not, we can easily break connections. Some connections can be fixed, though some of these connections if handled poorly, may be irreparable. The chains became a symbol of relationships, and the strength and fragility we all experience.
