CAPSTONE PROJECT
DREAMSCAPE
Dreamscapes are my way of creating an alternative universe that liberates my mind from any form of rationality and focuses mainly on pure imagination and heightened emotions. They are an abstract version of landscapes. These places and sceneries sometimes show up in my dreams and other times I close my eyes and I imagine going there. It is a way to cope with trauma, they were and still are my refuge. At different times I did not want to be where I am whether it’s my home, my school or sometimes my own body. As a response to this, I would create an alternative reality through painting. dreamscapes are less of a physical sensation and more of an intense spiritual feeling. This feeling can be described as magical, warm, and safe, or sometimes wondrous and mysterious.
