Mackenzie Mollison
BIO
Mackenzie Mollison is a designer and maker in Guelph, Ontario and a recent graduate from Sheridan College Craft and Design program specializing in furniture. Her work explores the combination of two wildly different art movements, the Shakers and Memphis Group, from which she draws inspiration. Mackenzie’s fascination with the Shakers stems not just from their aesthetic but also their stance on gender equality. Alternatively, she is drawn to the Memphis Group for the fun and colourfulness of their work, in a field that doesn’t often see bright colours being used. Mackenzie mixes these two influences to create a unique style full of practicality and creativeness.
