Santana Salcedo

BIO

Santana Salcedo is a spinner and hand weaver with a soft spot for vintage tools and patterns. She is interested in creating interior patterns and wearables but enjoys the odd sculptural piece. Santana loves to listen to indie rock while weaving and creates various playlists for her every mood. She can be found trying out new recipes, vintage weaving patterns and new hobbies. A Window into Healing has been an exciting self-reflective journey that has been a constant reminder about the importance of self care and being kind to her mind and body.

CAPSTONE PROJECT

A WINDOW INTO HEALING

A Window into Healing is pairing of two complementing pieces that show a gradual progression of healing and diagnosis when dealing with mold toxicity by using a marigold gradient. Santana Salcedo’s love for weaving and paper making have been intertwined to create this piece to act as a separation between mind and physical body when dealing with chronic illness.
