BIO
I am a multidisciplinary artist who primarily creates work focused on combining ceramics with technology. Coming from an online and tech savvy background, my work's aesthetic focus is heavily influenced by online culture and video games, with digital fabrication methods at the core of my creation process. My work examines the relationship that ceramics has with our communication throughout human history, extending this reflection into the modern, digital era. My goal is to connect ceramics with online culture and how humans interact digitally, expanding on how ceramics can be incorporated with the technology we use in our daily lives.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
DIGITAL INTERACTION THROUGH TRADITIONAL MATERIALS
The concept of creating digital interaction through the use of traditional materials was the main driving force of my capstone year. Through a variety of methods, I attempted to incorporate ceramics with technology in a way that is both novel, and could be used in daily life. I hope that this project helps to bring ceramics closer together with the technology that today is ever so part of our everyday lives.
