CAPSTONE PROJECT
YOU ALL MEET IN A TAVERN
I have my family to thank for my deep love for the high fantasy genre. I was watching the Lord of the Rings films when I was probably too young and now we bond over playing Dungeons & Dragons together. This table is my way of paying that upbringing forward.
The Questing Table is a dining room gaming table with 6 drawers meant to facilitate playing Dungeons & Dragons with my family. It is constructed from solid cherry, solid white oak, and cherry veneer. The table features carvings depicting a map representing both the journey a D&D party goes on as well as the journey my family has been on over the years. Placed in the center of the table is a compass rose done in sapele and white oak veneer to follow the map motif. Underneath the compass rose is a TV that D&D maps can be streamed to.
