BIO
I’m an Industrial designer from Sheridan college’s Craft and Designs Industrial Design program. I enjoy seeking new ideas and learning more about the vast scope of design methods and techniques. I take inspiration from organic forms of nature and my intention when designing is to find the extraordinary and create interest in the mundane.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
VIRLAY
Virlay is a Hospital Emergency Department monitoring and communications device, which privately notifies the patient of their triage turn, and reads the users vitals. The outer shell is soft silicon, granting comfort to the user while the internal rechargeable portion is encased by PTEG. This device allows the freedom to easily move around the hospital knowing the healthcare workers are able to notify users when their turn is soon. Furthermore the device is able to offload work from healthcare workers during high patient capacity. The end goal of Viraly is to create a comfortably neutral experience for all participants in the ED.
