CAPSTONE PROJECT
WAYHOME
Barn building, quilting, and barrel making are the traditions that inspired the collection, WAYHOME. A grouping of objects exploring how my childhood town of Tavistock can be interpreted as craft. Using these traditional methods, I hope to express Tavistock by creating objects that are both contemporary yet familiar. Evoking stories about their origins, as well as informing people of the traditions they were inspired from. By presenting objects based on these methods, I hope to establish an understanding of my hometown and its history.
