CAPSTONE PROJECT
RECOLLECTIONS
In my ceramic work, I explore storytelling, narrative and personal experiences to capture my feelings and emotions about my memories and encounters. My work explores the subtle curiosities, complexities and wonders in the world. I create ceramic forms and vessels that are decorated with intricate illustration and imagery, using themes of wildlife, nature and botanicals. The forms are organic, indistinct of any particular function or shape. Imagery and illustration are used to convey poetic narratives. My narratives are ambiguous, inviting the viewer to explore with curiosity and mysticism, and to create alternative meanings and interpretations. My work explores feelings of wonder, complex emotions, and quiet moments in everyday life.
