BIO
After completing Art Fundamentals in 2018, I immediately applied for the Crafts and Design program at Sheridan College upon seeing a demonstration at an open house event where I fell in love with glass. My time in the studio is spent focusing on blown glass as well as engraving, with my current work that captures the fluidity of the glass during the making process, exploring colour, texture, and movement frozen in time.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
EUDAEMONIA
My capstone collection is titled “Eudaemonia”; A flourishing state of the soul. This collection of work focuses on capturing the natural movement of the molten glass, while exploring colour and pattern. These objects challenge the concept of purpose, and actively encourage “purposiveness without a purpose”, as my only intent for them is to inspire. Lighting was a natural progression as the collection grew as a way to interact with both the interior and exterior of the piece.
