CAPSTONE PROJECT
TENDER TO THE TOUCH
Drawing inspiration from the enigmatic landscapes of dreams, film, and science fiction, Alison Postma set out to explore the elusive sensations of the subconscious. Rooted in the question "what does your body feel like in a dream?" each one-off furniture piece in this project serves as a portal to an alternate reality. By creating pieces that are not quite furniture and not quite art, Postma aims to transcend the boundaries of ordinary experience, inviting users to immerse themselves in a surreal narrative through tactile engagement.
