Qin Ruikai is a glass artist, born in China and educated at SheridanCollege, specializing in glass casting. His work deeply intertwines Chinese Zen symbolism with Taoist philosophy, exploring the resonance of human emotion through the medium of glass. Qin's artwork reflects the connection of feelings. Through expressive creations, viewers are invited to participate in natural, spiritual and emotional connections.
CAPSTONE PROJECT
UNKNOWABLE REALM
My work aims to capture unique, peace moments. It is an interpretation of “ge”,"Xuan" and “Chan(zen)" in traditional Chinese culture. It seeks to resonate with others who have felt the same and evoke a reconnection with the innate but gradually fading mystical talents we are born with as we grow.
