BIO

As an industrial designer, Sita, gets inspired by her Uzbek culture and by people that surround her. Working with talented designers, she always tries to create pieces which motivate others. Her project "Pahta" is a series of light fixtures which were inspired by an Uzbek architecture and traditional cotton pattern, used on plates, cups and teapots. This project truly means a lot to her as it shows a part of who she is as an individual.

CAPSTONE PROJECT

PAHTA

Pahta is a series of light fixtures inspired by an architecture in Uzbekistan. The patterns on the fixtures are used on traditional plates, cups and teapots during cultural and traditional events. They represent different periods of a cotton bloom, and cotton represents unity in Uzbekistan. It is also a symbol of hard work and dedication and is a big part of export market.
