CAPSTONE PROJECT
RAYO CAYENDO
More than any of the phenomenological fallout we may experience due to the climate crisis, weather intensification strikes fear into us with the sublime immensity of its potentially destructive power. Rayo cayendo is a public art project alludes to the time-based intensification of storm-related phenomena and its impact on our relationship to nature as a result of our changing environment. Taking the form of a water jet-cut sculptural glass installation, the project focuses on the intersection of anthropogenic climate change, the narratives that surround it, and systems thinking, through the exploration of technocentric industrial processes and futuristic narratives.
