Leah Rew
BIO
Leah Rew, born in Ontario, Canada, has always had a passion for creating. She discovered glass in 2021 after transitioning from Sheridan College’s Furniture program. The challenges of learning a new medium made her realize the profound importance of joy, fun, and excitement in life. Drawn to vibrant colours, bold patterns, clowns, performance, and optical effects, Leah began integrating these elements into her work—using glass as both an escape and a form of therapy. This shift in focus, from mastering technique to embracing personal expression, allowed her to fully immerse herself in the creative process. Through playful sculptures that captivate the eye with colour, movement, and mesmerizing optics, Leah crafts pieces that are not only visually dynamic but also invite interaction and engagement.

Her pieces are designed to evoke a sense of joy and whimsy, drawing viewers into a playful and immersive experience. Through mesmerizing optical effects, vibrant hues, and intricate patterns, her work encourages escapism—offering a brief but meaningful departure from the stresses of reality.
