CAPSTONE PROJECT
BETWEEN MY HANDS I AM MADE: A COLLECTION OF SCULPTURAL SELF-PORTRAITS
My practice is deeply tactile, emphasizing visible fingerprints and the evidence of making. I primarily work through pinching and fire at cone 6 in gas and atmospheric kilns. My sculptural work moves fluidly between tableware and installation, both reflecting my relationship with community. I create tableware designed to be felt and shared in group settings, while my larger sculptural installations-particularly my capstone project-serve as self-portraits, exploring my evolving sense of place.
