Galen Lau makes simple, functional, quiet furniture and other everyday objects for residential and commercial spaces, prioritizing craftsmanship and sustainability. His work tends to be minimalist and geometric because he enjoys how it contrasts against the organic forms of nature. He enjoys challenging himself to make things by hand, and finds it very satisfying to see hand-made parts come together with precision. He strives to use sustainably sourced, renewable materials like wood, paper, and natural fabric.

CAT+HUMAN FURNITURE
Cat+Human is a collection of minimalist, sustainably made, space-saving furniture that is functional for both humans and cats. Each piece fulfills a need of both cat and its owner, and allows cat and owner to be close. The furniture is made of renewable or infinitely recyclable materials, and uses long-lasting joinery.
